This is a jacket knitted for my older sister. Yarn used was an Aran weight acrylic.
These are two ponchos which I have knitted for two 7 year old grandaughters
This red sweater was knitted with circular needles, so there was no sewing up at all, apart from joining the top shoulder seams. I used James C Brett "oyster" yarn....so soft. I'm loving this sweater.
Just knitted this cotton table centre
An Aran jumper using Stylecraft aran yarn. Going to be nice and warm!
Hat and matching fingerless mittens..knit with same Stylecraft yarn as jumper.
A doily knit with cotton yarn on 2 straight needles
The next lacey orange doily was knit in the round. A little difficult when starting at the centre, but easier as the stitches increased. Very fine cotton yarn on size 14 (English size) needles.
This is a sweater which I knit for myself.
I used a lovely yarn by James C Brett...so soft.
It is called Oyster and is 50% Acrylic and 50% Supersoft Nylon.
It was worth paying a little more to get a nice soft item.
I have ordered some more in different colours from an online firm as it was at a reduced price, so will be searching for more suitable patterns to knit it.

This is a jumper I knit for a teenage grandaughter. She is "into" white.
The pattern was for a chunky wool, so I knit this with 2 strands of an
acrylic double knit yarn.

This is a "Pineapple bag" knit with silk yarn.
I found the pattern online and was fascinated by it, so searched
for an alternative yarn, but the ones I found did not have the right colours.
So I ordered the silk from America.....just one skein of each colour.
It was very expensive, but I really wanted to knit this bag.
I tracked the parcel and it eventually arrived after about 14 days.
It had been in the UK ages, but had been delayed in customs.
The post man left a card saying I must collect it as there was £15
to pay......VAT and also £8 for Royal Mail international handling charge.
So be warned if you order yarn from the USA.

I knit 2 cardigans with this pattern for 6 year old grandaughters.
I loved this pattern as there is no sewing up....apart from sewing on the pockets.
It is done in one piece from the top down.
Yarn used was an acrylic double knit.

This bag has been knit in a 4ply cotton. Again there is a vine leaf pattern and the other panel is a waffle stitch.
