CAst on..the "chinese Waitress" method
At the moment, this is my favourite cast on method, which I have only recently discovered when searching U Tube.
Make slip knot on left needle.......Place Rt. needle under Left needle. With yarn under Rt needle, take it up over left needle and wrap around Rt needle, then pull loop through. Turn loop on Rt needle to straighten it. Again place Rt needle under left needle and repeat same steps.
You will now have 2 cast on stitches with the slip knot on left needle and also 2 stitches on Rt needle. Pass first stitch over the second stitch on the Rt needle so only one stitch remains. Turn this stitch.
Next, place Rt needle under left needle and repeat same steps until you have cast on the required amount of stitches.
Do not include the slip knot, as this is pulled out after the first row is worked.
